XII Irish Film Festival to Visit Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Kazan
The annual Irish Film Festival will tour Russia again. The KARO.Art project will present the best new feature films of Ireland, short-length collections, including feature films and animation, as well as arrange meetings with the Irish film-makers.
The films will be shown in Moscow from 13 to 24 March at the cinema Oktyabr, in Saint-Petersburg from 15 to 17 March, and in Kazan from 22 to 24 March.
The festival will be opened by drama Black’47 telling about the terrible page of the Irish history—the Great Famine. The film created a furore in its homeland and became a top-seller. Drama The Delinquent Season featuring Cillian Murphy and Andrew Scott tells a challenging crooked story about family relationships.
Furthermore, the programme will show a film about the Irish mixed martial artist Conor McGregor and animated films including Oscar-nominated “Late Afternoon”. Most films shown there could not be seen anywhere else.
