National Media Group bought half of Art Pictures Studio
The company acquired the share of Dmitry Rudovsky
NMG Studio, which deals with the investment of NMG in film projects, has closed a deal to acquire 50% of Art Pictures Studio. NMG bought out the share of one of the founders of Art Pictures Studio Dmitry Rudovsky. He will continue to work with the company as one of the producers of a number of projects. The share of the second shareholder, Fedor Bondarchuk, will remain at a rate of 50%. The first project of NMG Studio was an investment in the production of Attraction 2.
According to NMG General Director Olga Paskina, the company is expanding its presence in the film production segment: “We are interested in creating high-quality domestic cinema and are planning to increase investments in this segment. More and more projects of Art Pictures will also appear on TV channels and on the holding’s Internet resources.”
“The acquisition of a share in Art Pictures Studio by the NMG holding took place in stages. I am sure that Art Pictures Studio has got the strongest player in the market with large media resources as a partner. Soon we are aiming to significantly increase the volume of film production and focus on promoting Russian cinema in the international arena,” said Fedor Bondarchuk.
