Filming for the sequel to Attraction begins in Moscow
On 24th July in Moscow filming began for the long-awaited sequel to the Fyodor Bondarchuk’s fantasy blockbuster, Attraction 2. The film is a joint production between film companies Art Pictures Studio, Vodorod, TV Channel One Russia and The National Media Group. The production of the motion picture is again headed by Fyodor Bondarchuk, Dmitry Rudovsky, Mikhail Vrubel, Alexander Andrushenko and Anton Zlatopolsky.
Three years have passed since the alien ship fell to earth. The catastrophe turned the life of a girl from Chertanov upside down and changed our perception of the universe forever. It seemed like one of the biggest tests humanity has had to undergo, but what we do not know is another encounter is just around the corner…
The sequel to Attraction contains new dramatic action scenes, mind-blowing CGI and an unpredictable plot twist.
Over 4 million people watched the first part of the motion picture in cinema, with the film grossing over one billion RUB across Russia and the CIS. Attraction became one of the most viewed pieces of cinema on Russian online film platforms in 2017. The first film in modern Russian history about alien invasion, it was highly rated by Russian and foreign viewers alike, with the film being shown across cinemas in over 80 different countries.
