BeProducer took part in Black Nights Film Festival
The 22nd edition of Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) took place in Tallinn from the 16th of November to the 2nd of December during which films from over 80 countries including Russia were shown.
Black nights Film Festival has been an Estonian film motive force for over 20 years and has always contributed to its development. The annual festival aims to present to the public a great variety of films from all over the world with the focus on European filmmaking. Black Nights Festival (PÖFF) consists of the main program, four sub-festivals, media and filmmaking markets.
This year European film forum took place within the framework of the film festival. It was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Estonian Republic. BeProducer representatives participated in it.
At film forum representatives of the participating countries discussed new perspectives of sales and content distribution, problems of intellectual property and copyrights in the age of digital technologies as well as possibilities of blockchain platforms as an instrument to convert a viewer into a co-producer.
The event allows all participants to share experience and best practice in the world of global content racing. The European film forum in Tallinn (2018) is a discussion forum between creative specialists, technologies, investors and politicians so as to contribute to the Creative Europe MEDIA agenda (European Union’s Program in the sphere of cultural and creative sectors) after the year of 2020.
