24th September saw an agreement signed by BeProducer and Art Pictures Studio (Russian film company: a major which works on both the Russian domestic and international markets). According to the agreement, BeProducer can take part in the production of the film, in return receiving the right to profit from any success of Fyodor Bondarchuk’s fantasy blockbuster Attraction 2, which is planned for release in December 2019.
Art Pictures Studio’s films include: Fyodor Bondarchuk’s debut as director in The 9th Company, in addition to Stalingrad and Attraction; Soulless by Roman Prygunov; Two Days by Avdotya Smirnova; Rezo Gigineishvili’s Heat; Dmitry Meshiev’s war drama Battalion; the romantic tearjerker Ice by Oleg Trofim and many others Bondarchuk’s blockbuster. Attraction, became the first Russian alien invasion film in modern history. The film was seen on the big screen by over 4 million in Russia, whilst throughout the CIS the picture grossed over a billion roubles. The film was screened in over 80 different countries around the world and becoming a winner amongst viewing audiences and film critics alike as one of the most successful works in its genre in recent history.
Attraction 2 is an Art Pictures Studio and Vodorod production, and will be the first project from BeProducer: a company which aims to change audience perceptions about the creation and production of film and other types of video content.
